Tax forms are required to receive any kind of monetary award.
To sign your tax form:
Go to your profile's Settings > Payments.
Select click here on the banner.
Fill out the fields on the Sign tax form window that pops open.
Click Save.
You'll be redirected to the Payments homepage where you can click the link in the banner to sign your tax forms.
If you make a mistake, you have the ability to start over without involving Support. On the Settings > Payments page, you will have an opportunity to abandon an in-progress tax form, and you will receive confirmation through your email that this has occurred.
You can refer to these links for instructions on how to fill out your respective tax form.
Note: for American citizens living internationally, the instructions will not tell you how to fill out your W-9. If you are living internationally and non-military please use commas in the “city/state/zip” box to format your international address
as: “City, Postal Code, Country".
For US military please use the string “US Military Base”.
HackerOne aims to review and approve each newly submitted tax form within 48 business hours. However, certain scenarios may necessitate additional time for review. These scenarios include, but are not limited to, instances when identity details are incomplete or when identity details are discrepant from previously submitted tax forms. If this occurs a member of HackerOne’s team may reach out to you to request additional details or request your tax form to be updated with more information.
