Return on Mitigation Data Cards on the Homepage

We enhanced the HackerOne Home page with two new Return on Mitigation (RoM) cards, giving program teams quick, high-level insight into the value their program delivers without needing to navigate to the full RoM dashboard. RoM is now available in:

  • The RoM dashboard in the Analytics section of the platform

  • The RoM Hai Play is available in Hai

  • RoM executive overview is available in the Executive dashboard in the Analytics section of the platform

  • Now, two RoM data cards are available to add to a user’s Home Page

What we did:

We added two new optional RoM data cards that users can select to add to their personalised Home page:

  • Your RoM (Last 1 Year) – Shows RoM result for the last 12 months with an indicator of change compared to the previous year.

  • Mitigated Losses (Last 1 Year) – Shows the total mitigated losses for the last 12 months with a year-over-year change indicator.

These cards pull directly from the RoM dashboard data, offering at-a-glance visibility into the program’s performance and value delivered. Clicking any card takes the user to the full RoM dashboard for deeper analysis.

Why we did it:

Previously, RoM insights were only accessible from the dedicated RoM dashboard, requiring extra clicks and navigation. By surfacing key RoM metrics directly on the Home page, we make it easier for customers to track the value they’re generating and engage with these insights more frequently.

Who it helps:

Program Managers can monitor RoM performance without leaving their landing page.

How to use it:

  • Users can customise their Home page by clicking the Edit pencil icon and choosing which data cards to display, now including two RoM cards.

  • Once added, the cards update in real time with the latest RoM data.

  • Users can click any card to navigate directly to the full RoM dashboard for detailed insights and further analysis.

Full Sync for Linear Integration

Customers can now sync attachments from their HackerOne reports into Linear issues! This eliminates the need to switch between platforms to view or edit files and ensures the full HackerOne report context is available within Linear.

What we did:

  • Attachment Syncing: Added full support for synchronizing file formats from HackerOne reports into Linear issues.

  • Configurable Setup: Customers can enable this feature via a simple checkbox in the Linear integration setup.

Why we did it:

Previously, customers had to switch back and forth between HackerOne and Linear to view attachments, adding unnecessary manual effort. By syncing attachments automatically, customers have more context on reported bugs directly within Linear, reducing administrative overhead and streamlining vulnerability management workflows.

Who it helps:

It reduces friction for program managers, security, and developer stakeholders in the vulnerability management lifecycle who use the Linear integration.

Explore Page Updates

We’ve updated the Explore experience to make data analysis more flexible and efficient. Users can now change date ranges, interval settings, and filters directly from Explore without navigating back to the dashboard.

What we did:

Added interval picker, date picker, and filter controls to Explore charts. Changes made in Explore apply immediately, but do not overwrite dashboard settings. This creates a “temporary view” where users can test and adjust the filter values.

Why we did it:

Previously, customers had to return to dashboards whenever they wanted to adjust chart parameters. This created extra clicks, slowed down workflows, and made Explore less useful for ad hoc analysis. By enabling adjustments directly in Explore, we remove friction and support a smoother, more intuitive analysis experience.

Who it helps:

Program Managers can pivot filters/dates during reviews with minimal effort.

How to use it:

  1. Go to Analytics and navigate to the chart of interest

  2. Click on the Explore icon in the top right-hand corner of the chart and adjust the date range, interval, or filters directly within Explore for that chart.

  3. View results instantly, and your dashboard settings remain unchanged.

Executive Dashboard now with added RoM and Top Impact Report insights

In June, we launched the Executive Dashboard, followed by RoM reporting last month. Now, we’ve added key RoM metrics and high-impact report insights to the Executive Dashboard—these are also available on the RoM Dashboard.

What we did:

Updated the Executive Dashboard to include a customer’s RoM result insights as well as the customer’s top impact reports with Hai summaries, and if the customer has Hai switched on, the ability to connect to Hai and ask questions about the reports.

Why we did it:

Customers shared that while the data exists in the platform, compiling it into executive or board-ready reports is time-consuming and manual. This solution aims to reduce friction and positions HackerOne as a strategic enabler of executive cybersecurity storytelling.

Who it helps:

Program Managers who need to prepare quarterly or monthly reporting for executive stakeholders. CISOs and Security Leaders who want a clear, concise view of program performance.

How to use it:

You can find the Executive dashboard by clicking Analytics in the primary navigation bar on the left and then selecting the Executive Dashboard.

  • Choose your filters: timeframe, custom inbox.

  • Click Export to generate a PDF file with clean visuals and high-level summaries.
